Women were made aware under Mission Shakti 5.0 campaign in Gautam Budh Nagar Police Commissionerate

Under the direction of Gautam Budh Nagar Police Commissioner and supervision of DCP Women Safety, a comprehensive campaign was launched with the aim of increasing awareness about the safety, empowerment and rights of women under Mission Shakti Abhiyan 5.0. Under this campaign, women beat officers in various police stations of the commissionerate established dialogue with local women and informed them about their legal rights, safety measures, and empowerment topics.

Emphasis on women empowerment

To spread awareness about women's safety, women beat officers went to police stations and local areas and contacted women directly. They gave detailed information to women about their rights and the security services being provided by the police. In this, women were made aware about the women helpline number, women safety apps, and how to lodge a complaint against domestic violence, molestation, or any kind of exploitation. Women beat officers said that Gautam Budh Nagar Police is fully committed to the safety of women. Under the Mission Shakti campaign, women were made aware of various methods of self-defense and emphasis was laid on how women can remain aware and alert to protect themselves from any kind of violence or abuse.

The campaign was led by ACP Mahila Suraksha, where special programs were organized for the safety and empowerment of women. ACP Mahila Suraksha said, "Our aim is not only to empower women but also to assure them that they are safe and the law is with them."
