In order to curb the illegal transportation of overloaded vehicles and mining material in the district, in order to curb the illegal transportation of overloaded vehicles and mining material in the district, enforcement action was taken against overloaded / illegal transportation by the district level task force under the leadership of Additional District Magistrate Finance / Revenue Atul Kumar. In the month of September 2024, action was taken to challan 233 vehicles and shut down 298 overloaded vehicles coming to Gautam Buddha Nagar district carrying road, ballast, sand from Rajasthan, Haryana. This action was taken at different times from September 01 to September 30, 2024 at various places in the district including Ecotech-1, DND, Kalindi Kunj, Charmurti, Sirsa Cut, Bisrakh, Badalpur, Knowledge Park.

In the action, apart from over-loaded goods transport in vehicles, enforcement action was taken due to unclear registration marks in many vehicles, construction material not covered with tarpaulin, no reflector, no fitness/permit certificate and non-payment of tax. ARTO enforcement Dr. Udit Narayan, Abhishek Kanaujia, Vipin Chaudhary, District Mining Officer Utkarsh Tripathi, Passenger Tax Officer Rajesh Mohan, KG Sanjay along with police and enforcement personnel were involved in the campaign. Penalty fee of about Rs 127 lakh 60 thousand was collected on overloaded vehicles. Suspension of driving license and permit of all drivers was recommended. Vehicle owners are appealed that overloading disturbs the balance of the vehicle, it increases the possibility of road accidents, increases the expenditure on road repairs, reduces the life of the vehicle's tyres and engine, increases pollution, it is harmful, hence do not do overloading. In line with the instructions of the Government and the District Magistrate, the enforcement officers of the Transport Department, Gautam Budh Nagar will continue to ensure action against overloading and illegal transportation.
