नोएडा और ग्रेटर नोएडा डिपो की 266 बसें पैनिक बटन से लैस हो गई हैं. 25 बसों में पैनिक बटन लगना बाकी है. इस बटन का इस्तेमाल यात्रियों के द्वारा आपात स्थिति में किया जा सकेगा. इससे महिलाओं की सुरक्षा बढ़ेगी.

266 buses of Noida and Greater Noida depots have been equipped with panic buttons. Panic buttons are yet to be installed in 25 buses. This button can be used by passengers in case of emergency. This will increase the safety of women. According to officials, this facility will be started after panic buttons are installed in all the buses. There are 291 buses in Noida and Greater Noida depots. Out of these, 171 are in Noida depot and the rest are in Greater Noida depot. Buses run to many cities from the depot. This includes bus services to Agra, Mathura, Meerut, Hapur, Hathras, Etah, Aligarh, Kasganj, Bandayu, Haridwar, Kotdwar, Dehradun, Bijnor, Lucknow and other cities. Manoj Kumar, Regional Manager of Uttar Pradesh Transport Corporation Gautam Buddha Nagar, said that panic buttons have been installed in 266 buses of the depot. Panic buttons are to be installed in about 25 buses. This work is being done at a fast pace. He said that the facility of panic button will be started in all the buses simultaneously.
He said that the panic button is being installed near the window above every seat of the bus. On pressing the button, the message and live location of the bus will be received by the Control and Command Center of Roadways. After checking the authenticity of the message from the Control Center of Roadways, the live location and message of the bus will be sent to Abhay Command Control and State Emergency Response System. The button can be used by the passengers in emergency situations. On pressing the panic button, the police will reach in 10 to 15 minutes. Along with this, the department will also get information about it.
