Row over CM Atishi's Civil Lines bungalow, AAP accuses BJP of 'grabbing'
Days after Delhi Chief Minister Atishi moved into Bungalow No. 6 on Flagstaff Road in Civil Lines, the AAP on Wednesday alleged that the bungalow has not yet been allotted to her and accused the BJP of trying to "grab" the bungalow. Atishi shifted to the bungalow on Monday after her predecessor Arvind Kejriwal vacated it and moved to a new address in Lutyens' Delhi.
At a press conference on Wednesday, AAP's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh alleged that in the last few days the BJP has "spread several rumours" and tried to break the Aam Aadmi Party. Since the BJP has been unable to win the assembly elections in Delhi, it is now trying to "grab" the Delhi Chief Minister's bungalow. "Kejriwal had vacated the bungalow but it is not being allotted to Atishi and the chief minister's camp office has also been vacated," Singh claimed. The AAP leader also showed the documents of Kejriwal vacating the bungalow. Sharing the alleged PWD letter, the BJP has alleged that after Kejriwal vacated the bungalow last week, it was not transferred and the keys were with him.
