Timings of government and private schools changed in Assam due to scorching heat

Timings of all government and private schools will change from today, September 21 in Assam Dibrugarh. In view of the ongoing heat in the district, classes have been instructed to start from eight in the morning.

School classes can start and end early too. Classes can start from 8.00 am.

School classes can be held inside the classroom and the duration can be reduced.

Stadiums can be advised that if students are uncomfortable in shoes, waistbands or ties, they can wear sandals. Also, schools should ensure that all fans are working and all classrooms are properly ventilated. In case of power cuts, alternative power backup should be arranged.
