On International Girl Child Day, under Mission Shakti 5.0, a special program was organized on gender equality in Kanya Inter College Noida.
Under the leadership of District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma, the Women Welfare Department of Gautam Buddha Nagar district organized a program on the topic of gender equality for girls in Kanya Inter College Noida on the occasion of “International Girl Child Day” today under the special campaign (Phase-5) of Mission Shakti on the festival of Sharadiya Navratri for the safety, respect and self-reliance of women and children. The objective of the program is to establish equal sex ratio in the state for the safety, respect and self-reliance of women and children, and to develop positive thinking in the society and the general public towards girls.
On the festival of Sharadiya Navratri, schemes related to women and children were promoted. Awareness was created about the problems and issues related to girls such as cyber security, gender based violence, gender equality, hygiene management, various helpline numbers like 1098, Child Helpline, 181 Women Helpline, 1090 Women Power Line, 112 Police Helpline etc. and Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana by giving full information about the scheme. The program was attended by Child Line supervisor Rajni, case worker Rajkumari, One Stop Centre's case worker Priyanka and sub-inspector of crime police, college teachers etc.
