On Chhattisgarh's traditional festival Teeja, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai paid the seventh installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana.

CM Sai attended the Pola Mahotsav 2024 organized in village Madiyapar. Grand event of 'Tija-Pora, Mahtari Vandan Tihar with Vishnu Bhaiya' Chhattisgarh's traditional festival Teeja, Pora was celebrated with great pomp at the residence of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai in the capital Raipur today. A large number of women reached the Chief Minister's residence to participate in the grand event of 'Tija-Pora Mahtari Vandan Tihar with Vishnu Bhaiya'. On the occasion of Teeja-Pora, Mahtari Vandan Tihar, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai paid an amount of one thousand rupees each as the seventh installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana in the accounts of 70 lakh mothers and sisters of the state through online DBT mode. Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Rs 653 crore was paid to 70 lakh women in the seventh installment today. Including this, an amount of Rs 4578 crore has been paid so far. The Chief Minister inaugurated the National Nutrition Month in the state and also administered the oath of Nutrition Month to women. Mr. Sai flagged off the Suposhan Rath from the Chief Minister's residence and also released the poster of the National Nutrition Month. At the beginning of the program, Chief Minister Mr. Sai, along with his wife Mrs. Kaushalya Sai, prayed to Lord Shiva and wished for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the state.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai congratulated the mothers and sisters who had come to celebrate Teeja at the Chief Minister's residence. He said that this is an occasion of great happiness. Sisters from all the districts of the state have come here on my call, I welcome all of you. On Teeja, married women keep a Nirjala fast and worship Shiva-Parvati with a wish for their husband's long life. Chief Minister Sai said that today is Pora Tihar, which is dedicated to farmers and animal love in the tradition of Chhattisgarh. Along with this, Teeja is after three days, which is considered the biggest festival for married women. According to mythological texts, Mother Parvati had observed the difficult fast of Teeja for Lord Shankar. Today we have released the seventh installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana to mothers and sisters. We transfer one thousand rupees each to their accounts under Mahtari Vandan Yojana in the first week of every month. Following the path of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas, the state government is working for the all-round development of Chhattisgarh. The Chief Minister congratulated Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade and her entire team for this grand event. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao said in his address that today our Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Bhaiya has invited us to his house to celebrate Teeja and Pora by giving us the festival. The festival of Teeja and Pora is a festival of Chhattisgarh's tradition. As soon as Pora arrives, sisters wait for their brothers to come to take them to Teeja. There is a smile on their lips and a glow on their faces. It is believed in our religion that wherever women are worshipped, gods reside there. Following this belief, our government is releasing the amount of Mahtari Vandan Yojana to women every month.


Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap also addressed the gathering. Kashyap said that the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh has invited us to his home today on the occasion of Teeja, Pora. It is a matter of great joy that Chhattisgarh today has a government that nurtures Vishnu and thinks in the interest of all. Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade, while extending her best wishes for Teeja, Pora, said that today we all have come to our elder brother's house to celebrate Teeja, Pora. Our Chief Minister is celebrating Chhattisgarh's traditional festival Teeja, Pora with great pomp and show. We all thank him. Mrs. Rajwade said that the implementation of Mahtari Vandan Yojana in the state has awakened self-confidence in women.

Raipur MP Brijmohan Agrawal congratulated the women present on Teej Pora and said that women worship Shankar-Parvati on this day. Today, under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, sisters have received one thousand rupees each, happiness is visible on their faces. Just as Lord Shankar-Parvati wish for the welfare of the entire world, in the same way the government of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai is taking care of people of every section. Chief Minister's residence decorated in traditional rural environment Special decorations were done in the Chief Minister's residence for 'Vishnu Bhaiya Sang Teej-Pora Mahtari Vandan Tihaar'. On this occasion, a glimpse of the traditional rural environment was seen in the Chief Minister's residence. Chhattisgarhi folk artists gave colourful presentations in the Chief Minister's residence. On the occasion of Mahtari Vandan Tihaar, traditional games of Chhattisgarh like Phugdi, chair race and tug of war were also organized in the Chief Minister's residence. On the occasion of Teej-Pora Tihaar, the Chief Minister's residence was seen decorated with traditional bullock cart, Nandiya-buila and toys.
