A fault occurred in the 33 KV line of Kathgar sub-centre at around 10 pm on Thursday night. Due to this, power was cut off throughout the night. Similarly, a fault occurred in the 33 and 11 KV lines coming out of Gadganj, Sareni sub-centre. Due to this also power was cut off. At some places, supply could be started at 8 am and at some at 10 am. Electricity of villages connected to Kathgar sub-centre could be restored at 12 noon. Chief Engineer RP Prasad said that due to rain, problems were faced at some places. Bachhrawan. 50 villages get electricity from Samodha, Rajamau, Churuwa, Johwasharki from Vishanpur sub-centre of the block area. For the last one week, people are getting electricity for only 10 to 12 hours. Consumers Suraj, Bhola, Shankar, Satyam said that the voltage is so low that the electrical appliances do not work properly. For the last 15 days, there is undeclared power cut in the rural areas at night. Due to this, people have to live in the dark.
The intermittent rain for the last two days has brought relief from the humid heat, but this rain has become a disaster for the early crop of paddy. The early crop of paddy is ready to be harvested. Its harvesting will start in the second week of October. Farmers say that the ears are falling due to rain and wind. If there is heavy rain, the entire crop will be ruined. On Friday, 26 mm of rain fell in the district. The maximum temperature was recorded at 31.4 degrees and the minimum temperature was recorded at 23.6 degrees.
