The Allahabad High Court has given time to Saint Vijay Nandan, who had filed a petition against the election of Prime Minister Modi, to take legal advice. Along with this, the court has also asked for an affidavit on the delay in filing the petition. Now the case will be heard on October 18. This order has been given by the court of Justice Saumitra Dayal Singh. The petitioner saint has accused the Election Commission that his nomination was rejected to give electoral advantage to Narendra Modi. In the election petition, there is a demand to cancel the election of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to declare the nomination of the petitioner as valid and to conduct re-election on the Varanasi seat, to give proper compensation and to take action against the election officer. During the hearing, the court found that the election petition was first presented on September 3. The reporting section has reported that it was filed 19 days after the deadline. However, an application has been given for condonation of the delay. The court asked the petitioner whether he wants to take legal opinion on this aspect or wants to take time. The petitioner asked for time. On this, the court ordered the petition to be listed on October 18. Petitioner Vijay is a resident of Seoni district of Madhya Pradesh. He had filed nomination papers from Varanasi in the last Lok Sabha elections. But his nomination was rejected without giving any reason. On this basis, he has filed an election petition making the Chief Election Commission, District Election Officer Varanasi and PM Narendra Modi as respondents.
