The festival of Durga Puja is being celebrated with pomp and show across the country, and there is no dearth of reverence and devotion towards Mata Rani on this occasion in Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh too. Grand pandals have been decorated at various places across the district, where devotees are worshiping Mata Durga. On the 7th day of Navratri, Maa Kalratri was worshipped ritually, and as soon as the doors of Maa Durga were opened, the whole district became devotional. Devotees formed long queues to have darshan of Mata Rani. During this, the grand pandal built on the lines of Kedarnath by Maa Shri Durga Bhakt Committee and Maa Bhakt Seva Samiti at Japilinganj Naya Chowk attracted everyone's attention. The devotees not only had darshan of the goddess, but also took pictures, lost in the charm of the pandal.
The devotees worshiped the Durga idols with reverence and sought blessings from the mother for the peace and happiness of the country, state, and district. SP Vikrant Veer has made special arrangements for security on this great festival of Puja. He conducted a flag march along with the police force, so that the general public can be assured of security. On this occasion, a large number of police forces including ASP, CO, Kotwal along with the SP are patrolling on foot in the entire city. Regarding security arrangements, the officials have assured that all necessary steps have been taken to maintain the safety and peace of the devotees.
