Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered his respects by visiting and worshipping Maa Pateshwari at Devipatan Shaktipeeth on Thursday morning. On the auspicious occasion of Sharadiya Navratri, the Chief Minister prayed to Maa Bhagwati for the happiness, prosperity and healthy life of the people of the state. The Chief Minister, who was on a two-day visit to Balrampur, had inspected the medical college and the under-construction university along with a review meeting on Wednesday. On Thursday morning, after reaching Devipatan Shaktipeeth, he bowed his head at the feet of Maa and took stock of the arrangements of the temple. The Chief Minister also visited the Gaushala located in the temple premises. Here he fed jaggery and fodder to all the cows. Gorakshapeethadhiswar Yogi Adityanath called the cows by name, upon which the cows came running to him. The Chief Minister also reviewed the arrangements of the Gaushala and gave instructions to pay special attention while doing Gauseva.
After this, the Chief Minister met the visitors who had come to the temple premises and distributed chocolates to the children. While talking to the children, he took information about their studies and education. The Chief Minister also gave the mantra to the children to study diligently. He also met the children living in the hostel of Tharu tribe and got information about their food, accommodation and education. On this occasion, the Mahant of the temple Mithilesh Nath Yogi was also present, who inspected the arrangements of the temple and Gaushala along with the Chief Minister. This visit of the Chief Minister was a symbol of development and religious dedication of the district.
