Police checking suspicious vehicles and persons near Amethi roundabout

In the night, Sector 39 police station was checking suspicious vehicles/persons near Amethi roundabout. During checking, three persons were seen coming on a white coloured scooty of Delhi number DL 3S DA 0388. When they were signaled to stop, they started running towards Sector 98. When the police chased them, the miscreants fired at the police party with the intention to kill them. In the retaliatory action taken by the police, one accused 1. Manish son of Mahendra was arrested in an injured condition due to a bullet injury in his leg. He has been sent to the nearest hospital for treatment. The other two accused 2. Vishal son of Shyamlal 3. Sumit son of Ramesh were arrested during combing. A scooty stolen from Delhi and illegal weapons 01 pistol .315 bore with 01 empty cartridge and 01 live cartridge have been recovered from the possession of the accused and the accused have also confessed to the incident of robbing an e-rickshaw near Sector 98 on 25.9.2024 which is being recovered on the identification of the accused. The criminal history and other information of the accused is being ascertained.
