प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा महिलाओं की सुरक्षा, सम्मान और स्वावलम्बन को बढ़ावा देने के लिए शारदीय नवरात्र के अवसर पर “मिशन शक्ति” अभियान का पाँचवाँ चरण शुरू किया गया है। इस अभियान के तहत 90 दिनों तक विभिन्न जागरूकता और सशक्तिकरण कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जाएंगे।
90-day special campaign started in Gautam Budh Nagar to empower women under Mission Shakti 5.0

The fifth phase of "Mission Shakti" campaign has been started by the state government on the occasion of Sharadiya Navratri to promote the safety, respect and self-reliance of women. Under this campaign, various awareness and empowerment programs will be organized for 90 days. Today on 10 October 2024, awareness programs were organized at various places by the Women Security Team under the direction of Gautam Budh Nagar Police Commissioner and under the supervision of DCP Women Security Mrs. Suniti. Under the leadership of ACP Women Security Mrs. Saumya Singh and ACP-2 Noida Ms. Shaivya Goyal, women police personnel visited schools, colleges, villages, societies, labor colonies and markets and interacted with women and girls. They informed women about Mission Shakti 5.0, Shubh Mangal Yojana and measures to protect against cyber crime. Under these campaigns, women were made aware of various government schemes and their rights.
During the program, the Mahila Suraksha team explained in detail to women and girls about the measures to protect them from sexual crimes, domestic violence and workplace harassment. The team gave special information on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act and emphasized the importance of self-defense to women. Also, while distributing Mission Shakti pamphlets to women, important helpline numbers like Mahila Helpline (1090), Chief Minister Helpline (1076), Cyber Helpline (1930), Emergency Service (112), Child Helpline (1098) and One Stop Center (181) were told. Women police personnel advised women not to tolerate any kind of crime or harassment silently, but to immediately contact the police helpline. On this occasion, the staff of Mahila Help Desk established in all the police stations were instructed to take women's cases seriously and provide quick assistance.
