Food safety campaign under the leadership of District Magistrate in view of Navratri, samples taken from various places

Noida, October 10: With the aim of ensuring the availability of pure food and beverages in the district, a large-scale investigation campaign is being conducted by the Food Safety and Drug Administration Department under the leadership of District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma. Especially in view of Sharadiya Navratri, raids were conducted at various places to check the quality of food items and samples were collected.

Assistant Commissioner Food II Sarvesh Mishra informed that today the team of food safety officers took samples of food items from various establishments in Noida and Greater Noida. Samples of Paneer and Shahi Paneer were taken from Satguru Vaishnav Dhaba located at Chhalera, near Dadri by the team of Food Safety Officers Syed Ibadullah and Amar Bahadur Saroj. At the same time, the team of Food Safety Officer O. P. Singh and Vishal Gupta took a sample of chocolate cake from Cake and Cafe located at Jagat Farm, Greater Noida. A total of three samples have been sent to the laboratory for testing, from where further action will be taken after the report comes.

The Assistant Commissioner also informed that similar inspection campaigns will be conducted in future under the leadership of the District Magistrate so that pure and safe food items as per the standards can be made available to the people of the district. This step has been taken keeping in mind the health of consumers during important festivals like Navratri.
