Amit Kumar's murder in Dadri solved, three accused arrested

The police took immediate action on the information of an unidentified body found near Higher roundabout in Dadri police station area. Senior police officials, field unit and dog squad team reached the spot and inspected the spot. Four teams were formed under the leadership of DCP Greater Noida, who identified the deceased as Amit Kumar Singh (resident Bisrakh) on the basis of social media, electronic surveillance and CCTV footage. Amit's wife registered a case on 09 October 2024. The police analyzed about 200 CCTV footage during the investigation. Two vehicles—one WagonR and the other Creta—were seen in the footage, from which two people were seen alighting. Based on the footage, these suspects were identified as Sachin Tanwar alias Sandeep and Ramesh alias Rama, who worked with Amit. Further investigation also brought to light the names of two other accused, Himanshu and Omprakash alias Shivam.

On 09 October 2024, the police arrested Sachin, Himanshu, and Omprakash. During the arrest, the police recovered the weapon (iron pan), Rs 20,000, WagonR (HR 38 AE 9889) and Creta (T0924DL 7656). During interrogation, the accused told that they used to work with the deceased Amit Kumar and were involved in a fake loan scam. There was a dispute between Amit and the accused regarding the loan commission. The accused called Amit for money transaction and killed him. After the murder, the body was thrown away to avoid identification. The police are continuing efforts to arrest other accused involved in the murder.
