Review meeting of PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme concluded under the chairmanship of District Magistrate

Noida, October 10: With the aim of widely implementing the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme run by Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) in the district and benefiting maximum number of people, a review meeting of the District Level Committee was held in the Collectorate Auditorium today under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma.
During the meeting, District Magistrate Verma reviewed the progress of the scheme with UPNEDA, NPCL, District Lead Bank Manager, nominated vendors and other officials. He described the scheme as one of the ambitious schemes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and directed all the concerned departments to extend its benefits to maximum citizens of the district. Verma directed to ensure wide publicity of the scheme through banners and hoardings at Collectorate, Vikas Bhawan, Police Commissioner Office, Tehsils and public places to increase public awareness.
The vendors present in the meeting highlighted the challenges being faced in the implementation of the scheme, on which the District Magistrate directed the officials to resolve it soon. He told the UPNEDA officials to organize meetings of the nominated vendors with the RWA officials at the state level to spread more awareness about the scheme. Along with this, the Lead Bank Manager was directed to ensure that the process of providing loans to the beneficiaries applying for loan through banks is made available as soon as possible. Chief Development Officer in charge Shiv Pratap Prameya, Senior Project Officer II UPNEDA Shri Ram, ALDM Romi Awasthi, representatives of NPCL, other officials and nominated vendors of the scheme were also present in this important meeting.
