बारिश का मौसम इस बार इंदौर का कोटा पुरा नहीं कर पाया और अब मानसून भी विदाई की तरफ बढ़ रहा है। अब तक इंदौर में 31 इंच बारिश ही हो पाई है,
Last year, rain in Indore broke the record in September, this time it could not fulfil the quota

This time the rainy season could not fulfil Indore's quota and now the monsoon is also heading towards its departure. Till now, Indore has received only 31 inches of rain, whereas Indore receives an average of 40 inches of rain. In September, four cyclones became active from the Bay of Bengal, but more rain fell towards Rajasthan and the systems weakened after reaching Madhya Pradesh. Last year, Indore received the highest rainfall in the monsoon in the month of September.
On September 16, rain in Indore broke a 61-year record. There was ten inches of rain in 24 hours. Before that, in the year 1962, six inches of rain fell in a day. This time, Indore has received one and a quarter inches of rain till September 20. There are clouds all around on Friday, there is also light drizzle, but there was no spell of heavy rain in the city. Due to the dry month of September, Indore has received only 31 inches of rain so far in this season.
Due to rain quota not being fulfilled in Indore, all the ponds of Indore have not been filled. Yashwant Sagar pond, which quenches the thirst of a large part of the city, has definitely filled up and two of its gates were opened this season, but the catchment area of this pond is also towards Manpur and Depalpur. There was good rainfall there. 30 MLD water is filled in the six tanks of the city from this pond every day, but ponds like Bilawali, Sirpur, Limbodi have not been filled completely yet.
