In compliance with the instructions received from National Legal Services Authority and Uttar Pradesh State Legal Services Authority and under the chairmanship of Honorable District Judge, Gautam Buddha Nagar, National Lok Adalat will be organized at the headquarters and tehsil level in Gautam Buddha Nagar district on 09 March.
Smt. Richa Upadhyay, Additional District Judge/Secretary, District Legal Services Authority said that the National Lok Adalat deals specifically with criminal compounding cases, family cases, cases under the Motor Vehicle Accident Act, cases related to electricity and water, Section 138 N.I. Act suits, land revenue suits, service related matters and pre-litigation matters as well as other disputes which can be settled through conciliation agreement in which the parties are willing to settle under mutual goodwill, those matters are settled through Rashtriya Lok Adalat. Will go.
The judgment issued by the Lok Adalat has the status of a decree of a civil court. These decisions are binding and cannot be appealed against. There is no court fee for Lok Adalat and if the court fee has already been paid, the amount is refunded when the dispute is settled in Lok Adalat.
