Awareness program on 'Women's Education and Rights' organized by Kamala Nehru Institute in Ratanpur Basti

The English Department of Kamala Nehru Institute of Physical and Social Sciences (Autonomous), Sultanpur, organized an extension activity on the topic "Women's Education and Rights" on Wednesday. Ratanpur Nishad Basti was selected for this program, where the women of the colony were made aware of education and their rights. The program started at 12 noon with posters and banners in front of the central library, where the students of the institute gathered. After this, everyone left for the venue. Department Head Prof. Vijay Pratap Singh addressed the women gathered in the colony on the topic "Women's Education and Rights". In his speech, he stressed that women's education is the biggest medium of their empowerment. He said that illiteracy is one of the main reasons for atrocities against women, and if women are educated, they will be more aware and vigilant about their rights and duties.
During this, the students of the English Department also presented their views to make women aware of their rights. The students said that an educated woman can not only guide her family better, but can also stand up against the injustice and atrocities happening in the society. Dr. Sunita Rai, Dr. Ratnesh Baranwal, Dr. Raj Kumar Mishra and Farid Ahmed of the department made a special contribution in making the program successful. The students participated enthusiastically in this awareness campaign and played an active role. Students like Pranjal, Sachin, Saurabh, Uzma, Pragya, Ekta, Niharika, Aasanika, Ragini and Sakshi were especially active in this event. The program was encouraging and successful, in which the women of the colony also participated actively and understood the importance of education.
