On the instructions of Collector Vinay Langeh, the action of removing stray animals from the road is being continuously taken by the Panchayats under the urban bodies and district panchayat area. Radium belts are also being put on the animals. The animal owners are first being counseled, but even after the counseling, a penalty is also being imposed if the animal is found left in the open or roaming on the main road. On the instructions of Collector Vinay Kumar Langeh, action is being taken by the concerned CMO and CEO in Basna, Saraipali, Bagbahara, Pithora and Mahasamund urban bodies and district panchayat areas.

According to the information, a penalty of Rs 2200 has been imposed under the urban and district area Mahasamund, similarly Rs 3400 in Basna, Rs 2200 in Bagbahara, Rs 1400 in Pithora and Rs 3150 in Saraipali. In this way, a total penalty of Rs 12350 was deducted.

It is known that the Collector had given instructions to remove the stray animals sitting on the road. He had also asked to strictly follow the said instructions in the time limit meeting held a few days ago. The effect of which is visible, the cattle owners are also being counselled and stray animals are being removed from the main road. They are also being kept in the Kanji House.

The Collector had given the responsibility to the Gram Panchayat and urban bodies in the last time limit meeting to stop the gathering of cattle on the national highway and roads. The Gram Panchayats passing through the national highway were also asked to do patrolling by imposing designated duty. There is a possibility of accident due to cattle being on the road, as per the instructions of the Hon'ble High Court, the responsibility of the Gram Panchayat and urban bodies has been fixed, taking it seriously, it was asked to ensure patrolling. He also said that radium and bandage should be put on the stray cattle so that their owners are also taken into cognizance and information is taken from them. Langeh said that the participation of public representatives should also be ensured in such cases.
