According to the information, a penalty of Rs 2200 has been imposed under the urban and district area Mahasamund, similarly Rs 3400 in Basna, Rs 2200 in Bagbahara, Rs 1400 in Pithora and Rs 3150 in Saraipali. In this way, a total penalty of Rs 12350 was deducted.
It is known that the Collector had given instructions to remove the stray animals sitting on the road. He had also asked to strictly follow the said instructions in the time limit meeting held a few days ago. The Collector had given the responsibility to the Gram Panchayat and urban bodies in the last time limit meeting to stop the gathering of cattle on the national highway and roads. There is a possibility of accident due to cattle being on the road, as per the instructions of the Hon'ble High Court, the responsibility of the Gram Panchayat and urban bodies has been fixed, taking it seriously, it was asked to ensure patrolling. He also said that radium and bandage should be put on the stray cattle so that their owners are also taken into cognizance and information is taken from them. Langeh said that the participation of public representatives should also be ensured in such cases.
