Just like Pandavas gambled away Draupadi, Hooda family gambled away wrestlers: Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh

The Congress on Monday termed former BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh's remark that the Hooda family gambled away wrestlers just like Pandavas gambled away Draupadi as 'appalling'. The Congress said that if such elements are encouraged in the ruling party, how will women be safe in the country. Singh, the former head of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI), was accused of sexual harassment by several women wrestlers last year. Who sat on a dharna for weeks demanding an inquiry against him. Singh said, in the gamble that was played in Mahabharata, Draupadi was gambled away but the Pandavas lost.

The country is still not able to accept the reasons for their doing so. He said, the Hooda family gambled away the honour of daughters and sisters. Future generations will not forgive them for this and they will always be held guilty for this. When asked about Singh's remarks, Congress media and publicity chief Pawan Khera said, "Horrible comments made by Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Unfortunately, the BJP is not able to control him. They need to control him because he speaks ill about the ruling party of this country."
