Actor Vijay is gearing up to make a significant mark in Tamil Nadu politics with the upcoming inaugural state conference of his political party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). The much-awaited event is scheduled to take place on September 23 at Vikravandi in Villupuram district. Preparations are already in full swing, with TVK general secretary Bussy Anand having submitted a formal request to the district superintendent of police on August 28 for permission to hold the conference. Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, which was officially formed in February earlier this year, has quickly gained attention with its distinctive flag and anthem. The flag, which is maroon in colour at the top and bottom with a yellow stripe in the middle, bears a powerful symbol—the motif of two fighting elephants on either side of the vaagai flower. The Vaagai flower, known as Albizia lebbeck in Tamil, is a symbol of victory, an apt symbol for the party's ambitious goals.
