Heavy rains have wreaked havoc in many parts of Pakistan and moderate to heavy rains are expected in many parts.

According to the National Disaster Management Authority, heavy rains have wreaked havoc in many parts of the country. According to news agency Xinhua, the authority said that 19,572 houses, 39 bridges and many schools have been partially or completely damaged across the country due to heavy rains. Apart from this, about 1,077 cattle have also died from July 1 to August 31. Most of the damage and casualties were reported from eastern Punjab province, where 112 people died and 302 others were injured due to torrential rains. At the same time, 88 people died and 129 were injured in northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The agency said that moderate to heavy rains are expected in parts of Pakistan in the coming days.
