CM Yogi paid tribute to the mother power by worshiping the girl child

Gorakhpeethadhiswar and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his deep respect for the mother power during the Kanya Pujan ritual organized at Gorakhnath temple on the ninth day of Sharadiya Navratri on Friday. On this occasion, he washed the feet of nine Durga Swaroopa virgin girls and worshiped them ritually, covered them with a chunari, performed aarti and served food with devotion. In this worship ritual traditionally organized in Gorakhpeeth, CM Yogi first washed the feet of all the nine girls by taking water in a brass plate. He applied tilak of roli, sandalwood, curd, Akshat and oats grown on the altar of Shaktipeeth on their foreheads. After this, the girls were garlanded and covered with a chunari and were given gifts and dakshina.

The Chief Minister served fresh food prasad to the girls with his own hands and took care of their happiness. During this, he also interacted with the girls and other girls present, due to which all the girls looked happy. The CM ensured that there was no shortage of Prasad in the plate of any boy or girl and for this he instructed the people associated with the management of the temple. On this special occasion, the head priest of Gorakhnath temple Yogi Kamalnath, Mahamandaleshwar Santosh Das alias Satua Baba from Kashi, and other prominent personalities were also present. Earlier, in the morning worship session, CM Yogi worshiped Maa Siddhidatri in the Shaktipeeth of the temple with due rituals. This ceremony has given an important message of increasing respect and reverence towards women and girls in the society. This effort of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is a big step towards establishing the mother power in the society. This tradition of Kanya Pujan not only reflects religious faith, but is also an important initiative towards the empowerment of women.
