Sanjay Roy, the prime accused in the rape and murder of a trainee doctor in Kolkata, is currently lodged in the Presidency Correctional Home. He does not like the food served in the jail. Sanjay Roy got agitated when he was served roti-sabzi every day. However, rejecting his demand for egg chowmein, the jail staff rebuked him. After this, he agreed to eat roti-sabzi. But before this, when Sanjay Roy was transferred from CBI custody to the correctional home, he had asked for extra time to sleep. He was also seen talking to himself. After a few days, he returned to his normal state.

On Friday, the Central Bureau of Investigation summoned former principal of RG Kar Medical College Sandip Ghosh for the 14th consecutive day for questioning in connection with the investigation into the case. According to a report by news agency PTI, officials said that the agency has already questioned Sandip Ghosh for more than 140 hours. Apart from this heinous crime, Sandip Ghosh is also under the agency's radar in the financial misappropriation case at the hospital. An FIR has already been registered against him. The agency officials also searched the former principal's residence last Sunday and questioned him. Sandip Ghosh was seen roaming inside the CGO Complex in Salt Lake at around 10.45 am, where the agency has its eastern regional headquarters. On Thursday, several CBI teams visited the government RG Kar Hospital in connection with their investigation.
