CBI focusing on the possibility of tampering with evidence in the rape and murder of a doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical Hospital

New Delhi , Latest Updated On - Aug 29 2024 | 14:05:00 PM

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials probing the rape and murder of a doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital are focusing on the possibility of tampering with evidence in the case. Sources said that CBI officials are assuming that if some people were involved in the rape and murder incident, then many people may also be involved in tampering with evidence. Based on this theory, the CBI is trying to find clues of tampering with evidence so that it can reach the truth behind the RG Kar rape and murder case. The thing that has become most important for the CBI in the investigation of this case is a video, which has recently gone viral on social media. In which close associates of RG Kar's former principal Sandeep Ghosh were allegedly seen in the seminar hall on the morning of August 9, immediately after the victim's body was recovered. But, the victim's body was not seen in this video. However, we do not confirm this viral video.

Sources said that Kolkata Police has claimed that a large part of the seminar hall was cordoned off after the body was recovered, but CBI officials are not accepting this argument. According to protocol, the entire seminar hall is a part related to the crime. Therefore, instead of sealing a part of it, the entire hall should have been sealed. And entry of other people in the room should have been prohibited but this was not done. The investigating officers of the central agency are also investigating the fake CBI letterhead that recently went viral on social media. In which the alleged 'officers' of the central agency are commenting on various aspects of the case.
