Sultanpur: Demand for road improvement and security arrangements till Lohramau Maa Bhagwati temple intensifies

Shivakant Tiwari alias Sokha Pradhan, Trust President of Maa Bhagwati temple located in Lohramau, Sultanpur, has raised a serious issue regarding the road from Lucknow-Varanasi fourlane to the temple. Sokha Pradhan said that this road is now very dilapidated and full of potholes, due to which accidents are happening every day. Especially men and women riding bikes are getting badly injured. Along with the bad condition of the road, the problem of waterlogging is also serious. As soon as there is a slight rain, the water fills up, due to which people have to face a lot of difficulties in reaching the temple. He said that due to the lack of drainage system on the side of the road, the situation of mud and waterlogging remains after the rain.

Security system also under question

Sokha Pradhan also said that after sunset, the activity of thieves and pickpockets increases from the temple to the main road. Due to this, incidents of chain snatching and theft have increased, due to which the local police also have to face a lot of trouble.

Main demands

Sokha Pradhan has appealed to the city MLA Vinod Singh and District Magistrate Kritika Jyotsna for intervention. He has raised the following demands:

Road renovation: The road from Lucknow-Varanasi fourlane to the temple should be repaired and renovated soon.

Drainage system: Drains should be constructed on the side of the road so that relief can be provided from the problem of waterlogging.

Road light arrangement: Keeping security in mind, street lights should be installed at a proper distance on this entire route, so that movement can be safe at night.

Local people are also supporting these demands of the trust president and are hoping for action on them as soon as possible. This route leading to the temple is important from a religious point of view, in such a situation, it is very important to have better road and security arrangements.
